Teams collaboration via MyCourses
You can create a Teams channel directly from MyCourses for a specific course. When created via MyCourses, the access permissions for the Teams channel follow the access permissions of the course workspace.

- A Teams channel can be created through the course workspace for use by students enrolled in the course.

Creating a Teams channel in MyCourses workspace step-by-step
- Enable editing from the top right corner.
- Open the sidebar menu on the right side of the workspace by clicking the black arrow button. Click + Add a block.
- From the list, select Microsoft Teams for Course.
- You will see a new block on the right side of the course.
- From the menu, select whether to create a Discussion groupwork area or a Discussion only area.
- Click Create Team.
- Add participants to the team.
- You and your students will see a link to Teams, which you can access through MyCourses.
- Teams is accessible via the Teams app or a web browser.
