Excellence in Research
The amount of competitive external funding and the inclusion of one research team from the School of Engineering into a Centre of Excellence of the Academy of Finland give some idea of research excellence at Aalto University.
Our work at the School of Engineering is inspired by the needs of society. We seek to contribute to the development of society by taking an active role in Finnish and international life – dialogue with a variety of stakeholders and cooperation agreements with the Capital Region municipalities and key partners support this aim.
The Foundation supports the scientific research and teaching of technical disciplines. The Foundation awards grants for MSc and DSc theses on a continuous basis, with the help of industry-donated funds.
The world needs new and revolutionary ideas, solutions, entrepreneurship, work and new kind of leadership. These will not come about by themselves. A donation to Aalto University is a donation for strong, internationally successful Finland.
The School of Engineering operates in a number of buildings at the Otaniemi campus of Aalto University.
