Once you graduate from the Aalto University School of Business, you become an alumnus/alumna. If you want to take part in the alumni activities and broaden your knowledge also after the graduation, you can sign up as a member in Aalto University's alumni network free of charge.

Li Xu applied for the Master’s Programme in Information and Service Management at Aalto University School of Business partly due to her job requirement. The studies supported her career, and later also helped her proceed towards her dream job at Valio in China.

Alumni Ambassador’s story: Markus Helaniemi

“Thanks to the business studies, I now understand the customers and corporate challenges better and I know how to be of better use to the customers”, says our Alumni Ambassador Markus Helaniemi. “Besides having the business expertise, common knowledge and wide understanding on the world and societal aspects should be emphasized.”

As an registered alumnus/alumna, you will get invitations to alumni events, where you can broaden your connections and expertise with fellow alumni. Moreover, you will receive updates on the School's developments and events, and are able to affect the development of teaching and student career guidance by filling in our career development surveys.

Developing the community

In the School of Business, we have established two forms of active alumni cooperation, which both involve our most active alumni to support their Alma Mater, the School of Business, in the areas of teaching, research, and societal impact.

Alumni Advisory Board

Alumni Advisory Board discusses policies related to the School's alumni activities, external relations, and fundraising.

School of Business Alumni Ambassadors

Alumni Ambassadors consists of 40 active alumni, who support the School in developing the alumni activities. In addition, the Ambassadors also serve as a bridge between students, the School of Business and business life.

Share your experiences with the students

Around 70 School of Business alumni are willing to help our students yearly as mentors in Aalto Mentoring Program. Would you be willing to share your knowledge and support our current students by participating in the mentoring program? Read more about the program and apply: Aalto University Mentoring Program

In addition to mentoring, the School of Business alumni are strongly involved in supporting our current students in their studies and move towards the working life by participating in different career events organized at the School. If you would like to participate in these events as an alumni representative, please get in touch with us at: [email protected].

Class reunions

Many School of Business alumni organize class reunions in order to meet their classmates after the graduation. The School is happy to offer its premises for the use of the class reunions and we can help you to send the invitations to your class.
