Campus maps and getting to Otaniemi
Otaniemi in Espoo, Finland, is located 10 km from the Helsinki city centre, and it can be easily reached by public transport also from elsewhere in Espoo and from the Helsinki-Vantaa airport. There may be detours in the centre of Otaniemi due to construction work.
Otaniemi campus can be reached by bus and subway from the centre of Helsinki. The journey passes over the city limits, so a region ticket is needed. Tickets can be bought from buses, metro stations or HSL's application.
Metro (Aalto-yliopisto, Aalto University)
There are two exits from the Metro station, Otaniementie and Tietotie. Via Otaniementie, you can access the Main Building Dipoli, Väre, the Undergraduate Centre and the Harald Herlin Learning Centre. Via Tietotie, you can easily reach Micronova, the Computer Science Building and the Open Innovation House.
The Metro line's end station in the west is Tapiola or Matinkylä (Espoo), and in the east Vuosaari or Mellunmäki (Helsinki). The Metro runs every 2.5 minutes at Aalto University station during the rush hour, and every 4–5 minutes at other times. The journey from Kamppi to Aalto University in Otaniemi takes 11 minutes.
Besides the Metro, there are some bus lines serving Otaniemi: 111, 550, 551, 552 and 555. All these stop by the Aalto University Metro station, entrance A (Otaniementie). Outside the Metro operating hours bus 551N runs to Otaniemi, via Metro station's entrance B (Tietotie).
Single Metro or bus tickets can be bought in advance at the ticket machines or from the bus driver. Please note, that you need a regional ticket (seutulippu in Finnish) in order to travel from Helsinki to Otaniemi and Aalto University (Espoo city). The same ticket is valid on buses and the Metro.

The Undergraduate Centre designed by Alvar Aalto was previously known as the University of Technology main building, and it is still a landmark on the Otaniemi campus.
Buildings in Töölö, Mikkeli and other locations
Metsähovi Radio Observatory is the only astronomical radio observatory in Finland.
Aalto University School of Business Mikkeli Campus is located at the Mikkeli University Consortium in the heart of the South Savo region, 230 km from Helsinki. The Bachelor's Programme in International Business (BScBA Programme) is offered in Mikkeli. The School of Business' Mikkeli Campus is situated in the city center of Mikkeli. The central location enables active co-operation with companies operating in the area. The University of Helsinki Ruralia Institute operates also at the premises of Mikkeli University Consortium. In addition, Aalto Open University courses are offered on the Campus.
