From the beginning of 2021, the main occupant of the building has been Aalto University Executive Education Ltd (Aalto EE), which provides executive education and leadership development services globally. A restaurant open for everyone, Restaurant Töölö, operates in the previous student restaurant. The beautiful banquet hall and auditorium of the building, where various parties, concerts, dinners and seminars can be organised, can also be booked via Restaurant Töölö.
Versatile and modern office and training facilities for leasing purposes have also been created in the building. Federation of Finnish Learned Societies is located on the third floor of the A wing of the building and Helsinki Education Hub will start operations on the fourth floor of the A wing in autumn 2021.
The Töölö building represents a functionalist style. The design of the premises of the building, completed in 1950 (inaugurated on 2 April 1950), was carried out by architects Woldemar Baeckman and Hugo Harmia and interior design by interior designers Olli Borg, Ilmari Tapiovaara and Maija Heikinheimo. The building's acoustics was designed by Paavo Arni. The brick wall and Michael Schilkin's reliefs also link architecture to the romantic trend of the 1940s. The building is part of the Docomomo International Register, a site for modern architecture. After the building was emptied in February 2019, renovation and modernization work began. They building was returned to the original spirit of the 1950s and the building service systems were renewed.
