Our education aims to provide high-quality learning experiences that respond to future competence needs. This page compiles the guidelines and support offered by Aalto University for programme-level evaluation and development.
A comprehensive quality assurance framework is implemented to evaluate our educational activities.
Aalto University takes part in national and international evaluations, audits and benchmarking activities, and self-evaluates its own planning and implementation processes in the areas of teaching and learning. In addition, Aalto monitors its students’ academic progress, graduation and employment, and collects feedback on the quality of education and learning from employers and graduates. Internal and external evaluations are conducted in accordance with a multiyear evaluation programme.
On the Internationalisation of teaching and learning page (link takes you outside the Programme director’s handbook), you will find basic information on what is meant by internationalisation of teaching and learning. Internationalisation is realised when the programme has a clear global dimension and the requirements of internationalisation are taken into account in all teaching and learning processes. The aim of internationalisation is to enhance the quality of teaching and learning.
Promoting international teaching and studying is a central element in Aalto University strategy.
