An animating principle of Aalto University is the high quality of its operations, and all the researchers, students, teachers, and other employees of the university are responsible for promoting quality in their everyday activities. The quality work at Aalto is based on the PDCA cycle (Plan, Do, Check, Act).
Aalto University has set itself an ambitious agenda to become a world-class university by 2020. The Scientific Advisory Boards of our Schools have an important function in evaluating the research quality and supporting the development of the university towards this goal.
