Two students at the School of Business examined how early deliverers experience participation in the new strategy of Posti
Posti is one of the leading delivery and logistics companies in Finland, Sweden and the Baltics. There have been many changes in Posti’s business within the 400 years of its history and today digital service channels and online sales services characterize the business. Already more than 60 % of their turnover come from the package, freight, and eCommerce services. Posti has around 21.000 personnel. Read more about Posti from their own website.
Posti has joined the School of Business Premium Partner Program in 2015. Since then our students have learned a lot by solving cases from Posti’s various business areas during courses. Themes such as sustainability and customer /employee experience have played a significant role in the study cooperation. In addition to the logistics experts, Posti employs a vast variety of experts: service design, human resources, sales, finance, business development and digital services. The list goes on and on.
In teaching Posti has brought interesting cases for courses. Our Professor of Logistics, Markku Kuula, has collaborated with Posti for a couple of years in the Quality & Performance Management course. The genuine interest that Posti has shown for students’ resolutions has impressed Kuula: “The Posti representatives were really active and gave the students valuable feedback. On top of this, the cases represented well the real business life – the data was not too predigested and the students really got a chance to solve the case in their own way.” He also wishes that the fruitful cooperation will continue in the future, too.

'Interdisciplinarity and versatile possibilities to shape your studies, were definite strengths in Aalto. I believe that studying subjects differing so strongly from each other has helped me in my career. Especially during change situations, since changing my own perspective has been easier,' says our alumna Iida Valin, who works in the communications department of Posti Group, one of School of Business partner companies.
The project also included investigation on how the digitalization of the working environment affects the employee experience of the drivers.
