Sound in New Media

In the beginning of the 2000s in Finland, there was no degree education available for sound and music designers who had ambitions in the new and emerging context or methods of creation. In 2005, the Media Lab launched studies in Sound in New Media, which became a full programme in 2007.
Sound in New Media master's programme works in close association with the research group Sound and Physical Interaction (SOPI), founded in 2010 by Dr. Koray Tahiroğlu.
