Sound in New Media '15

Tuomas Ahva studied Sound in New Media between 2013 and 2015 and became a specialist in the intersection of software, technology, sound design and music. Before the studies he had a background in software development. Sound in New Media studies offered him plenty of ideas for creative use of software and technology, and also structured insight into sound design and music. One of the major topics in his studies were touch screen instruments (such as musical iPad apps) and how they can be used for composing and performing music. Ever since the graduation he has been performing and making music with iPads under name ‘Ahva’.
