• Fairdata services for research data storage and publishing: Workshop for Aalto researchers, Oct 7, 2025 - Exceptionally only for Aalto researchers! If you are employed at another research organisation, you can access training by the service provider, CSC. Please note that the Fairdata services are only available to researchers affiliated with Finnish organisations.
• Electronic laboratory notebooks for research data workflow, Oct 9, 2025 - This webinar focuses on the Aalto-provided integrated digital lab environments: the Aalto Electronic Laboratory Notebook (ELN) and the Aalto Materials Digitalization Platform (AMAD).
• Current trends in open access publishing: Introduction to Rights Retention Strategy (RRS), Oct 21, 2025 - This webinar introduces the Rights Retention Strategy (RRS) and why it is being promoted in academia. Through examples and experiences of current RRS policies, we present how the RRS is used to ensure the availability of research publications and to preserve the rights of researchers to their own work and RRS from a contractual and copyright perspective.
• Starting computational research projects at Aalto, Nov 4, 2025 - Best practices for managing computational and data-based research at Aalto, simple steps to take now to avoid a big mess out of your work later, and how to advise computational researchers working for you, even if this isn’t your main focus.
• How to make your research reproducible with AI tools, Nov 19, 2025 - Our reproducibility webinar is updated to include tips for using artificial intelligence.
• Digital Services Act and researcher data access, Nov 20, 2025 - Why is the DSA relevant to researchers? The DSA includes a provision granting researchers unprecedented access to the data of Very Large Online Platforms and Very Large Online Search Engines under certain conditions. The aim is to enable a deeper understanding of the systemic risks which are posed to society through the online world, as well as support effective oversight of DSA compliance.
• Cybersecurity management, Dec 2, 2025 - Cybersecurity management permeates all aspects of modern life. Whether you are conducting a research project or doing online shopping, cybersecurity management is relevant for you. Join this to update your perspectives on cybersecurity management.

Our lectures include interactive segments or a Q&A session at the end, which won't be recorded to respect your privacy. We encourage you to actively participate, pose questions to our experts, and contribute to the discussion. While some sessions may feature specific information regarding Aalto researchers, the fundamental principles presented are often universally applicable.
