A guided campus tour is suitable for any individual or group visiting Aalto University campus. Our trained student guides will tell how our campus was transformed from an ancient village to an innovation hub. Aalto University hosts are also encouraged to include this tour in their guests’ visit programme.

For individuals or groups interested in applying to or studying at Aalto University, there is another guided campus tour tailored to this audience.

Guided campus tours are organized for groups of up to 20 participants. This makes it easier for the whole group to follow the guide. When required, we also organize guided tours for larger groups, with one guide per 20 participants. Ideally, we would like to receive a tour booking minimum two to three weeks before the requested tour date.

There are two types of general campus tours:

  1. 1,5-hour long campus tour. Price 125€ / per guide (includes VAT 25,5%). The tour includes a visit to the following buildings: Dipoli, the Harald Herlin Learning Centre, Väre (School of Art, Design and Architecture), the Undergraduate Centre and the School of Business.
  2. 1-hour long building-specific campus tour (includes two buildings). Price 100€  / per guide (includes VAT 25,5%). A more in-depth campus tour of two selected locations (20-25 minutes per location). This tour can also include the Marsio building.

Please note that campus tour bookings are currently taking a short summer break. New booking requests will be processed again from 3 August 2026.

I really enjoyed seeing not only the architecture but the resources available here.. Wish I went to school in Finland

Architecture on Aalto University's campus

The Otaniemi campus is a unique ensemble where Finnish modernism from the 1950s–70s, organic architecture, and the latest Nordic architecture meet in a verdant forest and waterfront landscape.
