Applying for study right extension

If you did not complete your degree within the study time that was granted to you, you may apply for an extension to your right to study. Study time extension is approved for the purpose of completing the degree.

Before submitting the extension application in Sisu, familiarise yourself with the Aalto University policy on extension to duration of studies.

If your study plan for the study time extension application includes the Master's thesis, you need add the following attachments to your application:

• Master’s thesis plan (either in English or in Finnish)
• Your thesis supervisor's statement on the progress of your Master's thesis (either in English or in Finnish)
