Helsinki Graduate School of Economics
Helsinki Graduate School of Economics is an academic initiative bringing together three Finnish universities – Aalto University, Hanken School of Economics, and University of Helsinki.
Bachelor's, Master's and PhD degree students in Economics at Aalto University School of Business, University of Helsinki and Hanken School of Economics are allowed to take bachelor, master and doctoral level courses in economics at all of the three universities.
To take courses at Hanken School of Economics and University of Helsinki, you must fill in a study right application form here.
- You will get a study right for all the courses included in the Helsinki GSE cooperation at once (Bachelor’s students get a study right for BSc level courses etc.). The list of courses can be found here.
- After the study right has been granted, you will receive instructions for activating IT-access.
- Register for the courses in the host university's (Hanken’s/UH’s) Sisu.
- With the host university’s username and password (IT-access) you can also access host university’s teaching platforms (Moodle etc.) and other IT environments.
- The right to take courses is granted for two years.
- More information and further instructions can be found on the Helsinki GSE home page.
- After you have completed the course, apply for credit transfer through your personal study plan on Sisu: add a study draft to your study plan and apply for inclusion.
Before taking and completing a course, please make sure the credits can be counted towards your degree by checking which courses are included in your curriculum. To be able to apply for credit transfer the credits must also fit into your degree.
