Registration for courses in a nutshell:

1. Open your primary study plan (HOPS).
2. Check to see that the courses you are registering for are in your primary study plan.
3. Check if there are out-of-date versions of courses in it.
   • If there are, you will see a banner at the top that reads ‘Your study plan includes courses that have a version available for the current curriculum period. View courses to update.’ Update the course versions with the ‘View courses to update’ link before you register.
4. Go to the Registration page.
5. Choose the courses you want to take under the heading Courses to be completed and selection of course unit.
6. After selecting your courses, go to Register and click the Register button for each of the courses you selected.
7. If there are several teaching groups for a course, choose the ones that suit you best.
8. Answer any compulsory questions.
9. Click the Confirm button. 

Your registration for the course is provisional. If the course size is limited, your registration will not be confirmed until the end of the registration period. If the course size is unlimited, Sisu will confirm your registration immediately. 

If you did not register within the registration period, please contact the course teacher to ask whether participation is still possible despite the late registration. If it is, forward the teacher's approval by email either to your school’s student services or to sisu@aalto.fi so that you can be added to the course offering.

Registration problem situationsNote: Sisu provides registration times in Finnish time. If you are registering from abroad, it is advisable to change the time zone of your device to Finnish time if necessary.
