Forskning

Forskningen vid institutionen för kemi och materialvetenskap fokuserar på avancerade och funktionella material, förnybara energimaterial, numerisk modellering och kemisk syntes och analys. Våra forskningsgrupper söker bland annat material som kan förbättra funktionen, säkerheten och miljövänligheten hos litium-ionbatterier och elektrokatalysatorer.

Professor Simo-Pekka Hannula's Research Group for Advanced and Functional Materials conducts high-quality basic and applied materials research related to both current materials production and new advanced materials.

RAMI – Raw materials research infrastructure

RAMI Raw Materials is a national, joint research infrastructure. Its target is to strengthen the long-term core expertise in Otaniemi (together with GTK and VTT), and to place Finland among the strong actors in natural and new inorganic material research needed in the circular economy.
