Aalto JobTeaser instructions for exhibitors
The main channel of the fair’s digital student marketing and communication is Aalto JobTeaser service. JobTeaser is a portal for career services that brings together Aalto University’s career events, tips for job seeking and career planning, as well as employers’ presentation pages and job advertisements.
In Aalto JobTeaser, students can find:
- the fair programme and registration for it
- the exhibitors’ profile pages
- exhibitors' open positions and events
- and all Aalto University’s career services
Recruitment events are marketed to students with both digital and print ads. Targeted lists are used in a lot in the marketing, so make sure that you have selected all the schools, whose students you want to reach, when registering . You can find more detailed instructions on Student targeting on this page: Student targeting | Aalto University
Exhibitor pages in Aalto JobTeaser
We will create a dedicated profile page for each exhibitor in the Aalto JobTeaser service and send a registration link to the contact person. If you have taken part in previous Talent Expo or Summer Job Day events, you will find your text and images already available on the page. However, remember to check that there is no outdated information on the page.
The pages will be published for students according to the schedule indicated in the confirmation message you receive after registration. Please make sure your page has been updated and your job advertisement published by then, so that interested students are not disappointed when they find an empty page for you. However, the pages can also be published earlier at your request.
Profiles will remain active for a month after the event and can be edited throughout this period. So please remember to update your profile and keep it up to date also after the event. It is also worthwhile to publish new job advertisements continuously.
The Exhibitors profile pages offer students information about the organisation, corporate culture and their goals for the fair. The aim is to attract students to take part in your programme or visit your stand and to learn about your career opportunities. A good page is up-to-date, it has good quality pictures and videos and working links. The page should offer answers to the following questions:
- What does the organistion do and in which industry does it work in?
- What are the organisations values and mission?
- Who are their main target group at Aalto University and who do they hire most? What talents are they looking for?
- What does the organisation offer in the event and what are their goals? M
- What jobs / career opportunities they have open at the moment / in the future / in general?
- What could this organisation offer for me?
Job advertisements in Aalto JobTeaser
Employers have the opportunity to advertise positions suitable for students both in Aalto University’s own Aalto JobTeaser and with wider visibility through the Aarresaari JobTeaser (learn more). From both portals, job advertisements end up in the same student view, so in general it does not matter which channel you use. However, Talent Expo and Summer Job Day exhibitors should advertise their positions that open during the fair specifically in Aalto JobTeaser so that they receive the best visibility.
Benefits of using the Aalto JobTeaser job portal:
- Your advertisements appear in the Jobs section of your profile.
Students actively browse employer profiles during the fair, so this marketing channel should not be left unused. If a student ends up on your profile in JobTeaser before the fair and sees an empty jobs section, it may also affect whether they plan to visit your stand. - You can add the Aalto Talent Expo tag to your advertisement and be visible in the fair marketing.
In our marketing we highlight a direct link that shows all advertisements marked with the Aalto Talent Expo tag, so this matters for visibility. - Possibility to limit the number of applicants.
By advertising a position in Aalto JobTeaser you can limit the pool of applicants specifically to Aalto University students. This can be useful, for example, if recruitment is urgent or if the position is a very specific internship or thesis position.
Instructions for using Aalto JobTeaser
1. Registration and logging in
If you have not participated in the fair before and need a completely new profile, we will send the contact person a link to the service’s login page by email within about two weeks after registering for the event. The subject of the email is ‘Your company profile on the Aalto University Career Center’ and the sender is Aalto University Career Services (no-reply@jobteaser.com). Please also check your spam folder in case the message has accidentally ended up there. The link in the message is valid for 7 days.
After the first login you can log in at aalto.jobteaser.com. Please choose ‘Log in with your email address for employers’ as the login method.
If your organisation already has a profile page, it has already been created in the system and you can log in with the same credentials via the above link. Your email address is the username and the password has been set by you. If you have forgotten your password, you can reset it yourself in the same place. If you do not remember your credentials, we can send you information about the login details linked to your profile.
After logging in you can access your profile via the Company page section. Under Events you can see all events in which you are participating. From the Articles section you can add news to your profile and via the Jobs link you can publish open positions for our students.
2. Boost your visibility: Company page and Articles
You can decide yourself how much text you want to publish on your profile and you can also supplement the content with links to your own website. Some of the content works so that only the sections where you have entered content are visible to visitors on your page. In the upper right corner of the page you will find Preview, where you can see what your page looks like to students. We recommend that students familiarise themselves with all exhibitors in advance in Aalto JobTeaser, so it is worth filling in at least the basic information on the page.
You also have the opportunity to create news on your page under the Articles section. This can be a good place, for example, to present a trainee programme or to give instructions on how to offer thesis topics.
Here is a link to an example page, where you can explore what the different sections look like: https://aalto.jobteaser.com/en/companies/65789-test-company?preview_url=en
Note! Unfortunately the Push com -option is not in use at Aalto at all.
3. Your events
As the fair approaches, all live/virtual events published in JobTeaser to which your profile is linked will become visible on your profile page. If you are participating, for example, in a CV and LinkedIn clinic, this will also appear in your profile in addition to the live event. This way students can see at a glance all the different situations where they can meet your company.
We will create the coaching events organised by the fair organisation on your behalf with standard texts, but you can also view the information published about the event in the Your Events section. Please note, however, that exhibitors should not create or edit events themselves in JobTeaser.
4. Your jobs
You can add job advertisements under the Your Jobs tab. Select Add a Job Ad and fill in the job advertisement details in the form.
Add to the Tags field either Summer Job/Talent Expo and/or the Aalto University schools from which you hope to receive applications. This way students can find your advertisement more easily and we can highlight your advertisement better as part of the event’s marketing.
After creating the advertisement you can again use the upper right corner to see what your advertisement looks like to students. Note! The listing on the Jobs tab shows only your organisation’s job advertisements.
Job advertisements are approved within about two working days. In connection with Talent Expo and Summer Job Day, the advertisements must comply with our general publication terms (see more on the Recruit a student page).
