- Update 19.8.2026: Elsevier open access article quota was estimated to run out during August-September 2026. Elsevier has removed the quota for open access articles for the rest of 2026.
- APC fee will be waived in Elsevier subscription journals, if the article is accepted for publication at the latest 31.12.2026. Submitting corresponding author must be affiliated with Aalto University.
- FinELib is currently negotiating a new agreement with Elsevier for the period beginning 1.1.2027. The goal is to secure an agreement that does not impose a limit on the number of articles that can be published open access free of charge.
