Comprehensive knowledge about the working life supports not only employment but also study planning. We collect data on the employment and career development of our master’s graduates through various career surveys and report the results also by major. Our alumni also assist students in many ways; one example is alumni stories where they share their career paths. Additionally, we have published various internship stories that provide insights into different internship opportunities.

Graduates in working life data

We track the careers and employment of graduates from the School of Business at three different stages: at the time of graduation, one year after graduation, and five years after graduation. This data can provide answers to questions such as the average salary in your field of study, the skills needed in the working life, or possible career paths. On the major specific pages, you can find, for example, a list of our alumni's titles and employers at different career stages.

For more information about the surveys and and how are they utilised at the Aalto University School of Business, please see the Student feedback and surveys after graduation page. One example is to provide career information by study program for current students.

Alumni stories

We publish alumni stories once a month and advertise them in our latest Aalto BIZ CareerMail newsletter. In the stories, alumni talk about their career paths, what their current job entails, and what has influenced their employment. Often, alumni also give tips to students, so it’s worth reading the stories!
