Continuing to Master's programmes
When you have gained admission to a Bachelor's Programme at the School of Business, you have also gained a right to study for a Master of Science (Economics and Business Administration) degree. When you are about to finish your bachelor’s degree, you should fill in the graduation request in Sisu to notify the school of your choice of master’s programme. The decision on your master’s programme will be made when you earn your bachelor’s degree.
Those graduating from a Bachelor's Programme at the School of Business do not, as a rule, have to apply to the School of Business master’s programmes. Please note that the master’s programmes in International Design Business Management, Global Management and Creative Sustainability admit students only through the master’s level admissions process annually.
You should begin planning for your master’s degree studies when you are still pursuing your bachelor's degree, because the choices you make in the bachelor’s degree have an impact on the master’s programmes that are available to you. Read more about beginning your studies in a master's programme and the criteria for different master's programmes below.
You should start to plan for your master’s studies when you are in the final stages of your bachelor’s degree. To do so, add your preferred master’s programme to your study plan. Add the programme to the primary study plan for your bachelor’s degree according to these instructions. You may plan your master’s programme studies and register for courses even before your right to study in the master’s programme has been confirmed.
Please note that in some cases, pursuing studies in a master’s programme may require a confirmed right to study in the programme.
- If you wish to complete master’s-level courses when you still have some bachelor's degree studies to do, you should read the course descriptions to check whether the courses require a right to study in a particular master’s programme or give priority to students of certain programmes.
- As your right to study towards a master’s programme will be confirmed only after you have completed your bachelor’s degree, you cannot choose courses that require you to have a right to study in a certain master’s programme.
- When you register for courses, you will be regarded as a bachelor’s degree student until your degree completion has been recorded in Sisu even if you had completed all the bachelor’s degree studies including the thesis.
