Registration as an alumnus/a, updating information
You can join the alumni register or update your contact information via the contact information form. With the form, you can send or update your home and email address, subscribe to Aalto University Magazine, and subscribe to alumni.aalto.fi email. By joining the community, you will also receive alumni newsletters to keep in touch with the latest news and upcoming events. You can later unsubscribe if you wish. Joining the alumni community is free of charge. Welcome!

The purpose of the processing of personal data is to better understand the needs of Aalto University’s internal and external customers, alumni and partners, as well as to improve the quality of our operations, the selection of new services, and the targeting and depth of our customer services. An additional goal is to further Aalto University’s societal impact as well as the university’s relationship management and engagement with individuals and with industry. A person has the right to be informed whether the university is processing personal data concerning him or her. In addition, a person whose personal data has been collected, has rights that the controller must enforce upon request. You can make a personal data request by using the customer service portal.
Our alumni are all those who have a degree from Aalto University or from its predecessor universities, including Aalto University Executive Education Programs that are eligible for alumni status. Our alumni are also those who have completed exchange studies at Aalto University or its predecessors. Joining the alumni community is free of charge for Aalto alumni.
If you don't have a degree from Aalto University, you are welcome to join the Friends of Aalto network by filling in the contact information form. With the same form, you can also order the Aalto University Magazine.
Events and communication
By updating your contact information in the alumni register via the contact information form you will receive newsletters with information on upcoming events.
Join the alumni register and update your contact data via the contact form to receive Aalto Waves and Feel the Future newsletters. Schools of Business alumni also receive a school-specific alumni newsletter.
Please update your contact information via the contact form to order the Aalto University Magazine either in print or digitally.
At the end of all newsletters there is a link to automatic cancellation.
Benefits for alumni
As an Aalto University alumnus/alumna, you have the opportunity to network, receive various benefits and influence the Aalto and alumni community. Make sure you know all your Aalto alumni benefits.
You can activate your alumni email via the contact form. Alumni email address is aimed at alumni only, not for former personnel.
Please show your ID card and degree certificate or a photo of it at a UniSport's customer service point. Check out different UniSport discounts for alumni.
Alumni volunteers, mentoring, global agents, donating
There are many ways to be an alumni volunteer: You can share your experience as a mentor or at career events, act as a global alumni agent, market Aalto University to new students or organise a class reunion. Would you like to know more about volunteering? Read more on how to become a volunteer.
Do you want to share the experience you have gained in working life over the years and learn and get inspired yourself? You can become a mentor for a master's student in the Aalto University student-alumni mentoring programme, a sparring partner for a startup in Startup Center's mentoring programme, or a group mentor for an international group of students. Get to know the mentoring opportunities at Aalto.
Global alumni ambassadors are Aalto alumni living outside Finland or international alumni who have moved back to Finland. Global alumni ambassadors can share and exchange experiences with other alumni and students who might think of moving abroad for work or studies, they can act as a local contact point or lead an international alumni group in their country. Join the international community by becoming a global alumni ambassador.

Alumni associations and networks, class reunions
LinkedIn (Aalto University: People) is currently the best online channel for searching for alumni, and the Aalto University Alumni Community LinkedIn group for peer discussions and networking. You will also meet other alumni at hundreds of events organised at Aalto University.
If you are planning a course meeting for the entire annual course, the alumni team can assist you by sending an email invitation on your behalf to the class mates found in the alumni register.
A class reunion is a great way to meet old friends, find out what everyone is up to and reminisce about your time at the university. If you would like to arrange a class reunion and invite your fellow classmates, we can provide you with some handy tips.

Lifewide learning, career design, recruiting opportunities for employers

You can borrow library materials by obtaining a library card from the Aalto University Learning Centre during customer service hours with a valid ID with a picture. You need to have a Finnish postal address to be able to get a library card. Read further instructions on library services.
Alumni can use the licensed library resources, such as scientific articles, databases and e-books, via workstations at the Learning Centre in Otaniemi. Unfortunately, the use of electronic materials from a home computer is only possible for students and staff. Read more on the access to online library resources.
Aaltodoc publication archive consists of full text materials produced by the university, such as theses, reports and research materials. The self-archived versions of the articles published in the scientific journals as well as conference papers are also stored in the repository. Get to know the Aaltodoc publication archive.

You can reach Aalto game changers via the Aalto JobTeaser portal, Aalto Talent Expo recruiting event or the International Talent Programme. Co-create a sustainable future of work with our employer collaboration services.
You can access Aalto JobTeaser for a year after you graduate. All you have to do is change your email address (other than the aalto.fi address) and set a new password. The change of email address must be made before the aalto.fi address stops working four months after graduation date.
At the campus
Campus Membership is your ticket to access Aalto University campus and a network of inspiring coworking spaces with one membership fee.
You can navigate at the campus and find free places for silent working or meetings at Aalto Space mobile application. Unfortunately reserving a rooms in advance is not possible for others than students and staff.
Harald Herlin Learning Centre reading rooms offer possibility to silent working. The cafés and restaurants at the campus are places to meet. More information about services at the campus.
