Research Plan as a Project Management Tool
Info session for doctoral students on how to use your research plan as a project management tool
Short, practical sessions on the themes that decide how a doctoral career moves forward. Topics include using A.I. for career development and job search, with the clear do's and don'ts of what it can write for you and what it cannot; career construction, meaning how a research profile is built deliberately over the doctorate rather than assembled at the end; and career transitions, covering what actually changes when you move from academia to industry, between sectors, or between countries. Each session stands alone, takes an hour or two, and needs no commitment beyond attending.
Our formal, credit-bearing course in the doctoral curriculum. It brings career development into your studies rather than alongside them, covering career identity, the translation of research expertise, and the practical steps of moving into work inside or outside academia.
Our workshop series, run as standalone sessions you can pick from according to what you need next. Each one is hands-on and built around your own material, not generic examples.
Networking
How to build and use a professional network on purpose rather than by chance: where the useful contacts actually are, how to open a conversation with a stranger in your field, and how to keep a connection alive after the first meeting.

Personal brand and LinkedIn
How to describe what you do so that people outside your discipline understand it, and how to turn that into a LinkedIn profile that works while you sleep. You leave with your own profile rewritten, not with a checklist.

Interviews
Preparation and technique for both academic and non-academic interviews: the questions that come up for doctoral candidates, how to answer them with evidence from your research, and how to handle the "you are overqualified" conversation.

CV and job applications
How to write a CV and application for a doctoral profile, including the difference between an academic CV and one that works in industry, and how to read a job advert for what it is really asking.

Pitching and personal branding with Canva
A hands-on session where you build your own visual materials and a short spoken pitch: a one-page profile, a slide, and a way of introducing yourself that fits in ninety seconds.
