Case studies
The case study project is the applied backbone of the WiT programme.
Our partnering organisations are the key component of the WiT Programme, as they are providing the substance and the contents of the life-wide learning experience for the participants. Participants work in interdisciplinary teams on a shared case study connected to real-world humanitarian, spatial, or systemic challenges.

What to Expect
- Teams are formed early in the programme
- The cases are contextualised before arrival to the field
- Clear deliverables and formats
- Regular mentor engagement
The focus is not on “perfect solutions” but on ethical reasoning, systems awareness, and situated practice.
Mentorship
Each team is supported by mentor(s) with relevant field or regional experience. The mentors guide the team throughout the process, providing critical feedback and support in navigating complex problems and uncertainty of field work.
