Applying to the WiT Programme
The admission to the 5-month professional WiT Programme at Aalto University is organised once a year. The WiT Programme runs from January to May 2024.
Who can apply?
You are eligible to apply to the WiT Programme if you have the following:
- a master’s degree OR a bachelor’s degree + 3 years of work experience
- a proof of language proficiency (English)
How to apply?
Your application should consist of:
- an electronic application form
- a set of required application documents

We may accept applications after the final deadline if vacancies arise. If you are interested and have missed the deadline, you may inquire about such vacancies.
Your application should include the following documents:
- Copy of degree certificates
- Transcript of study records
- Translations of both your degree certificate and transcript of records (if the originals are not in English, Finnish or Swedish)
- Proof of English language proficiency
- CV and motivation letter
- Career Portfolio (free format)
Application evaluation criteria
In the selection process, the three main documents considered are: the CV, the Motivation Letter and the Career Portfolio. The CV and the Motivation Letter have 40% weight and the Career Portfolio has 60% weight.
The CV should be a short, concise document listing your past education, work experience, and language skills.
The Motivation Letter describes your interests and goals for personal and career development and why we should select you for this programme.
The Career Portfolio should present your past experiences, projects you have been involved in, your role(s) and the team(s) you worked with, your impact and achievements, and your development path in general. The portfolio can contain visual, text, and/or multimedia materials.

Tuition fees
This programme belongs to Aalto Life-Wide-Learning and thus collects tuition fees from all the participants regardless of their nationalities. We provide guidance on different options for the tuition fee payment. Please contact the programme coordinator for more information at: [email protected]
