The AllWell? student survey

The AllWell? student survey is conducted in the spring for Aalto University's 2nd-year bachelor's students and 1st-year master's students. The AllWell? student survey provides students with an opportunity to share their experiences related to teaching and counselling, and how they perceive the Aalto learning environment. Additionally, students assess their own resources and study skills. The results are utilized in the development of educational programmes, teaching methods, and services.
AllWell?

The AllWell? student survey is conducted annually in the spring for Aalto University's 2nd-year bachelor's students and 1st-year master's students. The survey is sent to the target group via email and text messages in February.

The yearly AllWell? student survey provides students an opportunity to share their experiences related to teaching and counselling, and how they perceive the Aalto learning environment. Additionally, students assess their own resources and study skills. When all these elements come together, students typically find their studies meaningful and thrive as learners.

As a model for structuring student wellbeing, the Study Ability Model (Kunttu, 2006) is used, which divides study ability into the student's own resources, study skills,  the study environment, and teaching and counselling.

Through the AllWell? student survey, Aalto University, schools, and programs receive feedback on students' experiences. This feedback aids them in developing their teaching methods and guidance. Once the survey is closed, schools and programmes receive their results, which are discussed in school events throughout the academic year.

Areas of the AllWell? student survey as support for students

The AllWell? student survey measures aspects of student's study ability and experience of study wellbeing. The student's study ability and study experience are thought to be constructed from four different areas and their interaction: Student's personal resources, study skills, the study environment provided by the university, and teaching and counselling.

The annually conducted AllWell? student survey gives us research-based data for planning pedagogical development. A summary of AllWell? results are distributed to Aalto programme directors and school management.

The services available to you include drop-in (no reservation) advising/counselling sessions, peer support groups, and online materials. You can also make an appointment to receive individual counselling.
