OneDrive for Business offers online storage space for collaboration. The service also offers the possibility to share and modify files, for example directly from the browser.

- The OneDrive for Business service offered by Aalto has better terms of use and is thus a more suitable choice for storing and sharing files than services taken in use personally
Note! Despite of its name, OneDrive for Business is not the same service as OneDrive intended for consumers.
Limitations
What information MAY and MAY NOT be stored in OneDrive for Business:
Basic guide to information classification
- The high usage of personal cloud storage increases the risks of preserving important data. Store important files and research data in group-specific storage.
- Content and data stored in the service are saved in the cloud environment.
- The storage space is limited and can change, and the university does not provide additional space for all user.
- Before Aalto ID is closed, you need to transfer all work-related messages and files to a person agreed upon with supervisor.
- All stored content and data will be deleted when the Aalto ID is closed.
- IT services may change the usage instructions.
