Learning outcomes

Upon completing the course, you will:
- be able to discuss simple subjects and basic information concerning everyday matters
- be able to give simple presentations in Chinese
- understand and write very basic text by using tools
- have a command of basic Chinese grammar and structures
- have a better understanding of Chinese table manners
- recognise about 200 new Chinese characters and be able to use them.

Workload

Required attendance, completion of assignments both in class and independently, oral examination, written examination.

Chinese 1 or equivalent knowledge.

The final grade is based on:

• Class participation 
• Assignments submitted 
• Oral examination 
• Written examination

The teacher has four (4) weeks to grade the exam submissions starting from the exam date.

The number of participants is limited to 6.
