Service outage in Aalto AI Assistant and AI API services on 27 Jan 2026

On Tuesday, 27 January 2026, Microsoft’s Azure AI services in Sweden Central experienced an unexpected and significant outage between 11:22 and 17:12.

Due to the outage, Aalto AI Assistant and the AI API services were unavailable.

Aalto’s AI services use the Sweden Central Azure region for reasons including availability and environmental considerations.
