ABB’s, the newest Premium Partner of the School of Business, sponsored lecture hall was officially opened during the ABB & Aalto Research Day. In his speech, ABB Oy's CEO Pekka Tiitinen emphasized how, in addition to technical expertise, business expertise is also needed – sales, organization, number management and people skills.

During the Research Day, over a hundred ABB experts and Aalto University researchers heard inspiring speeches about ongoing joint projects, future challenges and also got acquainted with master's theses that were done in collaboration. We hope that the new ideas presented during the day will all get off the ground – and hopefully, completely new ideas will also be created for the coming years.

A separate opening ceremony was organized for students on November 6, when the aim was to introduce ABB as an employer to business students in particular. The event was open to everyone and as a result, about half of the visitors were engineering students and the other half were business students. Some also had time to get advice on their CVs and discussions were certainly continued at the Aalto Talent Expo on 14 November.

ABB's sponsored lecture hall is located in the U-wing of the Aalto University Graduate Centre (Otakaari 1).
