Aalto University personnel and students, welcome to join the the Mount Everest challenge on 2–29 November 2026. UniSport's new HeiaHeia wellbeing app inspires everyday exercise, makes wellbeing actions visible and brings the whole community together in a shared challenge.

Earn points through exercise and everyday wellbeing activities, progress from one stage to the next, and unlock rewards along the way. You can participate on your own or together with fellow students and colleagues.

The challenge is part of the ‘Porraspäivät’ campaign which encourages people to make small everyday choices that promote their health. Every step brings you closer to the summit.

You can earn points, for example, by:

  • exercising
  • choosing the stairs instead of the elevator
  • walking as part of your commute to work or studies
  • participating in UniSport’s Take a Break! activity breaks

Along the way, you can unlock wellbeing-related rewards. Participants who reach the summit will receive a special grand prize: a gym programme designed by a UniSport personal trainer.
