Prof. Hartwig Siebner

Copenhagen University Hospital Hvidovre, Denmark

Prominent researcher in the field of biomedical MRI and the head of the Danish Research Centre for Magnetic Resonance (DRCMR) at Copenhagen University Hospital Hvidovre. His research focuses on understanding how the human brain generates and optimizes actions, combining advanced MRI techniques with transcranial stimulation to study causal interactions within motor brain systems and trace sensorimotor plasticity. Siebner is also a board-certified neurologist with a clinical research interest in the pathophysiology of movement disorders such as Parkinson's disease and focal dystonia. His work at DRCMR translates the latest advances in MRI to examine the brain's function, metabolism, and structure, contributing significantly to the field of neuroscience.
