Aalto University Information Technology Program (ITP) brings students together from diverse backgrounds and all around the world to solve digital business problems. ITP enables students to combine business, design and technological perspectives, making it an ever-changing and valuable education module. Aalto University Open University
Open University courses are open to everyone regardless of their background or age. Open University offers individual courses in Business, Technology, Languages and Art and Design. Students are admitted to individual courses in the order of registration.
Aalto Summer students must organize their own accommodation. We have collected some suggestions below, also for short term accommodation needs.
Please bear in mind that accommodation options are on short supply during the summer months, so book as early as you can and make sure you have somewhere to stay before you arrive.
Many of the Aalto Summer courses organize social programme and excursions to local places of interest for their students. Please check the course website for more information.
Aalto Summer courses are held on the Otaniemi campus, Espoo, unless otherwise indicated. Otaniemi is located about 10 kilometers from central Helsinki and easily accessible by metro or bus. Aalto University metro station is located in the heart of the campus. Helsinki Region Transport (HSL) https://www.hsl.fi/en has information on tickets, timetables and a journey planner.

Students from outside Aalto University are welcome to apply for Aalto Summer courses. The course prices can be found on the course website. Aalto students study free of charge.

Every effort has been made to ensure that the information on Aalto Summer website is accurate and up to date. Students are personally responsible for obtaining necessary travel documents such as visa (non-EU nationalities). Aalto University can provide a letter of invitation for visa for admitted students. Students are obliged to have a travel insurance covering the whole period while they are travelling and studying in Aalto Summer. Aalto University does not have an insurance covering damages caused by student. Students are responsible for organizing their own accommodation but Aalto provides information on suitable services and alternatives.
