Department is hiring new professors in Computer Science
We welcome applications in any area of computer science and are particularly interested in the following: Algorithm Engineering, Data Management, Human-Computer Interaction, Software Engineering, and Software Systems. Female candidates are especially encouraged to apply.
The Aalto Department of Computer Science provides world-class research and education in modern computer science to foster future science, engineering and society. The work combines fundamental research with innovative applications. The department is routinely ranked among the top 10 CS departments in Europe and in the top 100 globally. Grants and recognition from the Wihuri Foundation
From Aalto University, 40 individuals or groups received funding in 2026. The largest single grant went to the Ownership Lab for research on ownership. In addition, Tapani Vuorinen received the Wihuri International Prize
