Bachelor's Programme in Design

The Bachelor’s Programme in Design prepares students for designing future products, services and systems in a creative and critical manner. Students are given the freedom to define themselves as designers, each finding their own ways of working and direction when exploring problems, developing solutions and forming opportunities.

Bachelor's Programme in Design

The Aalto School of Arts, Design and Architecture is one of the most prestigious design schools in the world and the leading design school in Northern Europe. The Bachelor’s Programme in Design prepares students for designing future products, services and systems in a creative and critical manner. Design as a concept is no longer linked to purely physical objects but digital experiences and abstract concepts as well, enhancing its power to shape the world. Thus, students are given the freedom to define themselves as designers, each finding their own ways of working and direction when exploring problems, developing solutions and forming opportunities.

Bachelor’s Programmes in Economics and International Business

The Bachelor's Programme in Economics is for analytical students who are fascinated by complex challenges such as climate change, global inequality and financial instability. The students will study formal modelling, empirical methods and institutions at the leading centre of economic research in Finland. The studies also include sequences in mathematics and programming, taught at the Aalto School of Science. 

The Bachelor’s Programme in International Business (also called the BScBA Programme) provides students with a comprehensive range of skills and knowledge to build, develop and lead companies on a global scale. A bachelor’s degree in business with an international focus opens up a wide variety of career opportunities in the private and public sectors, across all industries and continents.

The Economics programme is for analytical students who are fascinated by complex challenges such as climate change, global inequality and financial instability. International Business, Bachelor (BScBA, Mikkeli) and Master of Science (Otaniemi) in Economics and Business Administration (3 + 2 yrs)

The Bachelor’s Programme in International Business (also called the BScBA Programme) provides students with a comprehensive range of skills and knowledge to build, develop and lead companies on a global scale. A bachelor’s degree in business with an international focus opens up a wide variety of career opportunities in the private and public sectors, across all industries and continents. If you have ambitions to strive in a global business environment (e.g. study or work abroad), the Bachelor’s Programme in International Business is for you.

Organised at Aalto University’s Mikkeli Campus, you will join a close-knit community of globally oriented and ambitious Finnish and international students. After the intensive Bachelor studies, including a semester abroad at one of the programme’s many high-quality partner universities, you are guaranteed the study right at a Master’s Programme at Aalto University Otaniemi Campus.

The Aalto Bachelor's Programme in Science and Technology covers a range of scientific disciplines centred around engineering, science, and mathematics. The aims of the programme is to equip students with an interdisciplinary skillset that allows them to approach new problems with creative problem-solving attitude and develop innovative solutions.

Aalto Bachelor's Programme in Science and Technology - Chemical Engineering

Local and global challenges caused by global warming, pandemic events, or over consumption are becoming more and more complex and urgent. Interdisciplinary actions are needed to solve them. The Chemical Engineering major offers a highly multidisciplinary education including mathematics, computational tools, chemistry, biochemistry, life sciences, and chemical engineering. This program will provide you with a modern chemical engineering background that allows you to contribute to the development of solutions for a more sustainable future society.

Aalto Bachelor's Programme in Science and Technology - Quantum Technology

Are you fascinated by quantum physics? Do you want to create real-world applications? Come study Quantum Technology at Aalto University!

The Quantum Technology major takes you to the forefront of the ongoing quantum revolution in computation, communication, sensing, and simulation. Novel devices will outperform current technologies by exploiting quantum-mechanical phenomena. Future quantum computers will solve problems that are not tractable with existing hardware and algorithms. Quantum communication will use unbreakable encryption schemes. The Quantum Technology major provides you with the skills to become a global leader in this emerging industry and growing field of engineering.
