Aalto University offers bachelor’s programmes in English in the fields of business and economics, science and technology as well as art and design. Scroll down for all the study options! The next application period runs 3–17 January 2024.

At Aalto University, you'll get to study in an international and multidisciplinary environment together with students from all around the globe! After graduating from the bachelor's programme, you will automatically have the right to continue studies in the selected master's programmes. The next application period for bachelor's programmes taught in English runs 3–17 January 2024.

Bachelor's Programme in Design

The Bachelor’s Programme in Design prepares students for designing future products, services and systems in a creative and critical manner. Students are given the freedom to define themselves as designers, each finding their own ways of working and direction when exploring problems, developing solutions and forming opportunities.

Design, Bachelor of Arts, Master of Arts (Art and Design)

Design is not linked purely physical objects but digital experiences and abstract concepts as well, enhancing its power to shape the world. Embracing these opportunities, the Bachelor’s Programme in Design prepares students for designing future products, services and systems in a creative and critical manner.

Bachelor’s programmes in Economics and International Business

The Bachelor's Programme in Economics is for analytical students who are fascinated by complex challenges such as climate change, global inequality and financial instability. The students will study formal modelling, empirical methods and institutions at the leading centre of economic research in Finland. The studies also include sequences in mathematics and programming, taught at the Aalto School of Science. 

The Bachelor’s Programme in International Business (also called the BScBA Programme) provides students with a comprehensive range of skills and knowledge to build, develop and lead companies on a global scale. A bachelor’s degree in business with an international focus opens up a wide variety of career opportunities in the private and public sectors, across all industries and continents.

The Economics programme provides tools and knowledge to understand and explain current phenomena in the world from an economic perspective.

Aalto Bachelor's Programme in Science and Technology

The Aalto Bachelor's Programme in Science and Technology covers a range of scientific disciplines centred around engineering, science, and mathematics. The aims of the programme is to equip students with an interdisciplinary skillset that allows them to approach new problems with creative problem-solving attitude and develop innovative solutions.

Chemical Engineering, Bachelor of Science (Technology), Master of Science (Technology)

Local and global challenges caused by global warming, pandemic events, or over consumption are becoming more and more complex and urgent. Interdisciplinary actions are needed to solve them. The Chemical Engineering major offers a highly multidisciplinary education including mathematics, computational tools, chemistry, biochemistry, life sciences, and chemical engineering.

Data science gives you the foundations to become a top-level expert in the modern knowledge society. You will obtain the required skills to solve real-world problems using methods of algorithm design, machine learning, artificial intelligence, statistical inference, operations research, and optimization.

Digital Systems and Design, Bachelor of Science (Technology), Master of Science (Technology)

Digital Systems and Design educates specialists in various fields of digital systems. This major gives you competence in engineering design, as well as project planning and management, employing tools from embedded systems, control theory, and signal processing.
