By talking with our alumni at events, you can gain information about working life, the skills needed in the field, or get inspiration for planning your studies. We want to bring alumni closer to students and offer opportunities for networking and learning. You can meet our alumni at career events that take place at various stages of your studies and at our recruitment fairs.
We organise small group events with alumni each semester on different themes. We have organised these themed events on topics such as sustainability, start-up entrepreneurship, international job opportunities and service design. In these events, students have the opportunity to discuss with alumni related to the theme in a relaxed and informal setting. The events are always announced in the JobTeaser event calendar and the Aalto BIZ CareerMail newsletter.
The aim of this event is to support first-year bachelor students in choosing their major subject. One alumni from each major is invited to the event and they talk about working life and their own experiences in the form of a panel discussion. Students also have the opportunity to ask questions from the panellists. The event is organised as part of the 'Opinnot haltuun' course and is held in Finnish.
During orientation week, we organise an event for new master's students where students can network with alumni from their field. The event initially focuses on a panel discussion on working life and provides information about the career services offered by the school. Alumni from each main programme of the School of Business are invited to the event and students can discuss with the alumni. Event is part of the orientation week's events.
We also organise two annual recruitment fairs together with the Career Design Lab, where students can network with the key employers and alumni from their field.
Summer Job Day is an event focused on summer jobs, organised every January. The event is held in the lobby of the Undergraduate Centre and is open to all Aalto University students. Information about the event is communicated to all students via email and in the Aalto JobTeaser event calendar.

Aalto Talent Expo is the largest recruitment event of Aalto University and is organised annually at the turn of October and November. At the event, students can get acquainted with the key employers and fields of their sector. The event is open to all Aalto University students and is also held on campus. The Aalto Talent Expo also includes CV and LinkedIn clinics and speed mentoring.

We organise several different events with employers every semester. You can meet our partner companies in the Business School lobby or attend student events organised by employers. The events are mainly found on Aalto JobTeaser, but sometimes an invitation may be sent only to a limited group of students via email. Such employer invitations can be sent to students who have given permission in Sisu for marketing in recruitment purposes. Student organisations also arrange many events with employers and they are excellent opportunities to get to know employers in your own field as well as alumni.
