The School of Chemical Engineering carries out comprehensive and versatile co-operation with industry. The School’s most significant entrepreneurial partners are, for instance, Neste, UPM, Stora Enso, Valio, Fortum, Metsä Group, Outotec, Andritz and Kemira.

The special strength of the School of Chemical Engineering rests in technical and scientific research utilising Finnish industry. The School’s business relationships have been noted as unique, also on the international level. New knowledge created through research is used to reform the industry and promote new forms of business. Graduate engineers and doctors of technology are excellently employed in various jobs in enterprises. The research personnel act as experts in various quarters.

The task of the Corporate Relations Unit is to promote interaction between the School of Chemical Engineering and business enterprises as well as systematically support long-term partnerships.

The Corporate Relations Unit offers contacts to enterprises, networking opportunities, and possibilities for collaboration in research and instruction. In the research field, the collaboration possibilities range from research projects and programmes to broad-ranging infrastructure cooperation. In the teaching field, collaborative formats are visiting lectures, the preparation of theses, and student projects.
