Master's Programme in Advanced Materials for Innovation and Sustainability
Programme main page
Master’s Programme in Advanced Materials for Innovation and Sustainability (EIT Raw Materials, or AMIS for short) is organized by the School of Chemical Engineering.
The programme is targeted at students with a background in chemistry, physics or materials science (or equivalent). This site contains the student study guide for the programme with materials and instructions. Here you will find the programme curriculum as well as detailed guidelines for planning your studies.
The AMIS programme tackles with substituting and exploiting materials and technologies for products in order to improve their performance while focusing on material and value chain optimisation in the spirit of circular economy. The students will acquire an understanding of the full materials value chain with a mind-set for innovation & entrepreneurship focusing on sustainability.
The mobility of the students is an integrated part of the programme and during the two-year programme, the students will study at two of the consortium partner universities. Upon completion of the programme, students will receive a double degree.
Advanced Materials for Innovation and Sustainability (EIT Raw Materials), Master of Science (Technology)
Students will acquire an understanding of the full raw materials value chain and create a mindset for innovation and entrepreneurship focusing on sustainability. The programme covers the following themes: substitution of critical or toxic materials in products and for optimized performance, material chain optimization for end-of-life products, and product and service design for the circular economy.
