Ranja Hautamäki
Ranja Hautamäki works as Associate Professor in Landscape Architecture. She is a landscape architect and gained a doctor of science degree in 2016. Her professorship is landscape planning and society. Ranja works with sustainable urban landscape planning and management with a special interest in two topics: planning practices and discourses. Her recent funded projects on nature-based solutions have aimed to develop research-based planning practices and tools to tackle societal challenges related to climate change, biodiversity and well-being. She has studied the conceptions of nature and welfare and how these are translated into planning and materialized in landscape architecture.
