Ville Jokela appointed managing director of Aalto University Campus & Real Estate
Ville Jokela, M.Sc (Eng.), is appointed managing director of Aalto University Campus and Real Estate (Aalto CRE), a wholly owned subsidiary company of Aalto University. In his role, he will be responsible for managing the daily operations of Aalto CRE, including the real estate development and asset management, planning and execution of the Aalto University campus investment programme, real estate transactions, campus related services, as well as renting out of facilities to university partners and stakeholders.
Ville Jokela joins Aalto University from the real estate and private equity investor Pontos Group, where he has been responsible for the company’s real estate portfolio including investments, transactions, property and land development, city planning, leasing of premises as well as real estate asset and maintenance management. During his studies, Jokela held several positions of trust in the former Helsinki University of Technology’s student organizations.
He will start in his new role on 1 January 2020 and will report to Marianna Bom, chief financial officer of Aalto University and chair of the board of Aalto CRE. Ville Jokela will also be a member of the Aalto University President’s Management Team.
