What is the study voucher and what can you study with it?

A study voucher is a payment instrument worth 30 ECTS for open higher education studies. It is intended for people who

  • are under 29 years old,
  • have completed upper secondary education, and
  • applied for a study place in the spring 2026 joint application process but were not admitted or did not accept the place received from a higher education institution.

With the study voucher, you can study courses taught in Finnish or Swedish at Aalto University Open University. There are, for example, thematic modules in economics and communication skills that offer a way to familiarise yourself with Aalto’s different study fields and to start studying with a low threshold. You can also complete open university path studies in technology or business.

Get to know the study options via the links below. Please note that the study voucher is valid only for studies organised in Finnish or Swedish.
