Testing virtual library card

Aalto University Learning Centre introduces virtual library card that you can use on your phone.

Aalto University Learning Centre introduces virtual library card that you can use on your phone. To use a virtual card, you have to first visit our service desk and acquire a physical library card. The virtual library card is available in your own patron account screen in Aalto-Primo (primo.aalto.fi). Choose “My account” in the menu in the upper right corner of the Aalto-Primo site. In the “My account” screen, the yellow library card button is located within the grey title ribbon.

For security reasons, we only accept the virtual card at our borrowing machines. Just show your virtual card to the card reader of the borrowing machine, just like you would use a physical card. In library service matters at the service desk, we still ask you to provide a physical card or an ID.

PLEASE NOTE. Our virtual library card is still in testing. We cannot guarantee that it works or looks nice in all situations or on all platforms. If you notice problems, we kindly ask you to give feedback: [email protected].
