Summer jobs to students in 2026
This is a unique opportunity to gain practical experience in ongoing research projects and to work with doctoral and postdoctoral researchers.
Summer jobs are available in all departments of our school:
Department of Bioproducts and Biosystems (Bio2)
Department of Chemistry and Materials Science (CMAT)
Department of Chemical and Metallurgical Engineering (CMET)
How to apply?
Submit your application through our recruitment system using the "Apply" link.
If you are currently employed by Aalto University:
Submit your application directly to the Workday system using your existing user account (by typing "Find jobs" in the Workday search field).
Attach the following documents to your application:
CV
Cover letter – A brief introduction about yourself and your desired start and end dates for the employment relationship
Transcript of records
You can apply for one or up to three open positions. Prioritize your choices using the position codes. You will find each code after the job title in the list below – remember your choices when you continue with your application.
Depending on the job, the summer job may last 3-4 months and will be carried out between May and September 2026. Please note that these summer jobs are available to bachelor's and master's students.
We look forward to hearing from you – submit your application as soon as possible, but no later than February 1, 2026. We will begin evaluating applicants immediately and fill the positions as soon as suitable candidates are found.
