Suggest the School of Electrical Engineering Alum of the Year 2025!

The Alum of the Year 2025 distinction for the School of Electrical Engineering will be awarded to an alum, who has carried out pioneering or excellent work in the field of electrical engineering and increased interaction between the school, society, and alumni. The Alum of the Year has graduated with one of the following degrees; Master of Science (Technology), Licentiate of Science (Technology), Doctor of Science (Technology), or Ph.D. from the Aalto University School of Electrical Engineering or from its predecessors.

Suggestions can be submitted by the school's students, departments, independent or service units, staff, alumni, guild, or student organisation. Submit your suggestion by filling out this form by 31 August 2025.

Every other year, the Alum of the Year will be selected by the school's dean. The selection will be announced on Saturday, 25 October 2025 at the AlumniWeekend seminar.

The school will award the Alum of the Year with an honorary certificate and a gift from Aalto University. They will get visibility in Aalto University communication and will be invited as a guest of honour to events organised by the school and guilds. We hope that the Alum of the Year will give a speech at the AlumniWeekend seminar and will actively participate in various Aalto University events organised for students and alumni.
