Student: do you need to borrow a laptop for an exam, course or project?

IT services lend laptops to Aalto University students for short-term use. All Aalto students can borrow a Windows laptop for exams for 1-3 days. Additionally, students from the School of Arts, Design and Architecture can borrow Mac laptops for projects or courses for one to four weeks.

Students do not order the loan laptop themselves; the order is placed by the teacher. IT Services recommend that the loan be requested at least a week before the laptop is needed. This ensures that IT Services can guarantee the device's availability and prepare it accordingly.

The Safe Exam Browser program (SEB) and Microsoft Office package are automatically installed on the laptop.
