Professor of Practice Jari Melgin was nominated Teacher of the Year by KY

Professor of Practice in Accounting Jari Melgin is the Teacher of the Year of the School of Business.
‘Jari was selected as an expression of gratitude for his long-term and student-centred work. He is highly commended for his capstone courses at both bachelor’s and master’s level. The students appreciate Jari’s way of creating a motivating atmosphere of openness and dialogue’, says Heikki Helaniemi from KY’s (Aalto University Business Students') Executive Board.
According to Jari Melgin, this is the greatest acknowledgement anyone can get in the School of Business.
‘It is a privilege to have the opportunity to work with smart and active young persons, who luckily also have a sense of humour, and to aim at creating a bridge between academic drilling (i.e. systematic practice repeating the same task) and practical applications of the knowledge learned. I feel that this award is also a tribute to all the ones working in the position of Professor of Practice at the Aalto University School of Business’, Jari Melgin says.
