The Masters’ Gala was organized for the first time on 2 June 2017 by Aalto University School of Business and KY to celebrate the graduates who have successfully completed their Master’s degree between April 2016 and June 2017.

The idea behind organizing the event is to bring back the graduates, celebrate their big achievement and to strengthen the feeling of community between them and the School.

During the evening, the graduates heard speeches from the representatives of Suomen and Helsingin Ekonomit, who shared their career stories after graduation.

The Chairman of the Alumni Advisory Board, Riku Asikainen, told the graduates in what different ways it is of advantage to be part of the School’s alumni community. “You build up a huge network for yourself. As alumni you can give back to the School and affect the ways in which it is developing itself for future student generations.”

“The idea of the Masters’ Gala is to celebrate our students and keep in contact with them. This is a start of their alumni journey”, adds Ingmar Björkman, the Dean of Aalto University School of Business.
