EMREX service in Sisu simplifies transfer of course completion data
A new service, EMREX, has been introduced to Sisu for the transfer of study attainment data, i.e. information on completed courses. The service allows you to transfer your study attainment data from another Finnish or foreign university to Sisu. As the information transmitted by EMREX may be added directly onto your credit transfer application form, you do not need to include a transcript of records in your application when using EMREX. You can use the service to transfer credits earned during a student exchange or in the case of transfer students, at another Finnish higher education institution. You can transfer your study attainment data between two Finnish higher education institutions using your Aalto user ID.
Almost all Finnish higher education institutions use EMREX. In Finland, the study attainment data transmitted by the EMREX service is based on the data of the National Data Warehouse for Higher Education (VIRTA), and the service is maintained by CSC – IT Center for Science. For a list of higher education institutions using the service, see the EMREX website at https://emrex.eu/members/. Select Network > Countries from the top menu of the page and click on the desired country from the menu.
Further details on the service will be added to the Aalto University policy on credit transfer.
