A construction project began in February 2025 at Metallimiehenkuja 6-8, which may result in increased noise and heavy traffic in the Otaniemi area. This site is part of a real estate development by HGR Property Partners, the owner of Metallimiehenkuja 6-8, where part of the building will be demolished.

The construction is expected to last until around November 2025. Excavation and blasting work will be communicated in more detail to the surrounding neighbourhood.
