Change in Sisu on alumni data authorisation; now included with graduation request

The previous data disclosure statement (‘I want to join the Aalto alumni network after graduating and my data may be forwarded to the alumni register’) has been removed and so no longer needs updating. The information about giving consent to save data in the alumni partner institution system is now given in the alumni text, which comes with the graduation request form.

This alumni text has been updated in Sisu and now reads as follows: Through Alumni operations, you have a possibility to become part of community: participate, develop, and network. There are plenty of alumni societies and networks at Aalto University. You also have a possibility to engage in conversations in Aalto alumni LinkedIn-group, update your contact information, order the Aalto University Magazine and alumni e-mail. Further information: https://www.aalto.fi/en/for-alumni.

Contact and degree information on graduates is saved in Aalto’s alumni and partner system (CRM). This is saved when processing the student’s graduation request, and the contact info is thereafter maintained in the system. Grounds and purposes: https://www.aalto.fi/en/aalto-university/aalto-university-privacy-notice-for-partnership-services. If you wish, you may request that your data be deleted from the CRM system: https://datarequest.aalto.fi/en-US/
