Aalto University excels in the latest Financial Times business school rankings
Aalto University ranks among the leading international business schools in the Business school research impact ranking by the Financial Times published in October 2026. The new assessment examines how research from international business schools reaches and is used beyond academia.
Aalto University School of Business delivers strong outcomes across several areas. The school ranks 9th globally for external funding, 19th for research cited in policy documents produced by governments, think tanks and international organisations, and 37th for research published in journals aimed at business practitioners and decisionmakers.
These results reflect the work of our faculty and the impact of their research beyond academia. This is our motto ‘Better Business – Better Society’ in action: research that contributes to business, public policy and society.
‘We aim to produce research that both advances academic understanding and helps tackle significant societal and business challenges. Against this backdrop, it is encouraging to see Aalto University School of Business recognised among the world’s leading business schools for the reach and impact of its research beyond academia. This is a great achievement by our faculty,” says Dean Timo Korkeamäki.
